The Story of Suckered
Born in the Silence The concept of suckered didn't start in a boardroom; it started in isolation. It was born during the lockdown, a time when the world as we knew it paused. We were all plagued by uncertainty, fear, and a sense of insecurity. We were navigating a reality that felt completely foreign, stripped of the distractions we used to rely on.
But in that silence, something shifted. Being alone forced us to truly sit with ourselves. We stopped performing for the outside world and started looking inward. We realized that for years, we had been consuming things we didn't actually like, wearing clothes that didn't actually fit our vibe, and chasing standards that weren't ours.
We decided to stop playing the game. We wanted to create clothing that we genuinely liked—pieces that felt like us. suckered is the result of that clarity. It is a reaction to the noise, a reclamation of our own taste, and a tribute to the resilience we found when we had nowhere else to look but inside.
Radical Acceptance Our mission goes beyond fabric. We built this brand to empower everyone who has ever felt overlooked or scrutinized. We believe that true style has nothing to do with a size tag.
We stand for the idea that all bodies are beautiful. This isn't just a marketing line; it’s our baseline. Whether you have scars, stretch marks, weight fluctuations, or stories etched into your skin—we celebrate it all. We don't want to hide who you are; we want to outfit the real you.
The Open Canvas (Community Creation) We believe that creativity shouldn't be gatekept. The fashion industry is often closed off, reserved for the "elite," but we know that the best ideas often come from the ground up.
That is why we are tearing the doors off the traditional design process. At suckered, the community is the creative director. We have opened our platform to everyone—from local underground artists to mainstream creators, and yes, to the "average Joe" with a notebook full of sketches.
If you have a vision, a graphic, or a piece of art you’ve been dying to see on a garment, we want to see it. We are building this brand together, stitch by stitch, idea by idea. This is clothing defined by the people who wear it.
